Classroom Information
Physical Science
In Physical Science we will spend the first semester learning the basic concepts of physics. The main areas we will cover are mechanics, thermodynamics, waves, and electricity and magnetism. The second semester we will learn how do do basic chemistry. This will entail learning the difference between physical and chemical changes, how to write chemical formulas and equations, how to balance chemical reactions, and how chemical formulas are named.
Chemistry
In Chemistry the students will be prepared for what to expect in a college chemistry course. This will deal with learning electron orbitals and writing the different electron orbital notations, writing chemical formulas and naming chemical formulas, writing and balancing chemical equations, using the factor-label method of solving for molarity, learning stoichiometry, using the gas laws, learning about acid-base reactions and thermochemistry, and studying the rates of reactions and their kinetics.
Physics
In Physics the students will be taking a basic one semester college physics course during first semester. Second semester we will cover electricity and magnetism. After finishing E & M the remainder of the year will be spent on a survey of different areas of physics such as waves/optics, thermodynamics, special relativity, astronomy, and particle and quantum physics.

Laboratory Report Style
Lab reports should be written in the format indicated in the page below
Sample Lab Report
A sample lab report as an example is provided below.
Whenone assesses a teacher one should not ask so much what did he teach me, but did he teach me how to learn.
