The Elementary created pumpkin characters based on their favorite books. We enjoyed our hallways this month.







The following students auditioned and have been accepted into the following bands and choirs for the Northern Plains Music Festival which will be held at DSU on the weekend of Nov 9 and 10th. They will rehearse for two days and have a concert on Saturday evening. That time is TBA. All of the schools in our Region including Dickinson High auditioned!

Kathy Boshard is the AAA Killdeer Safety Patrol member of the week. She is making sure that students are bundled up and safe on the playground. Thank you for your dedication with the younger students.


Mrs. Steffan’s 5th graders went to Mrs. Sampsel’s 2nd grade classroom last Wednesday. Students read fall and Halloween books together and then practiced a second grade learning target: asking and answering questions after reading a story. Students enjoyed working together and did a great job!











We did it!!! Killdeer beat Des Lacs 21-20 on Saturday. We are on to the Quarter Finals against Trinity Saturday, October 28. So incredibly proud of our Cowboys!! 🧡🖤











Mrs. Klatt brought her FACS classes to help 1st grade paint pumpkins and make an art project!











1st grade walked to the grocery store to share fire safety tips in exchange for pumpkins.

Killdeer participated in the Northern International Livestock Expo (NILE) on Monday in Billings, MT. There were 312 contestants in the FFA senior livestock judging division. Abby Hardersen placed 9th overall. There were 70 Teams in the FFA senior Livestock Judging Division and Killdeer was 14th.
Of the 41 contestants in the senior 4H Livestock Judging Divison, Shyenna Burian placed 3rd place overall and Audrey Dvorak took 27th place. Congratulations to all!!
