Miss Reiss’s class participating in our CKH curriculum. They started the day by sharing some ways they honored people inside and outside of the classroom.
Mrs. Sampsel’s first grade students participating in our CKH curriculum. They end the day with a launch by high-fiving a friend and sending them on their way with a positive message! Students have also starting greeting each other at the door, which is a way to empower students to lean into their classroom roles and community!
The Killdeer Public School has cancelled school for Wednesday January 21 due to inclement weather conditions.
Due to poor visibility there is a two hour late start for the Killdeer School District.
KPS will be offering in-town busing starting Monday, January 12th. An invitation to our transportation app, Stopfinder, was emailed out last week. Please check your spam folder if you have not seen the email. Existing, out of town riders, please check your app as stop times may have been adjusted.

School board meeting agenda for January 14, 2026
Killdeer Public School will be offering in-town busing starting on January 12th. This will create a slight gap in busing services as West River Transit is no longer available. Bus stop locations and schedules will be posted on the Killdeer School website once classes resume. An invitation to our transportation app, Stopfinder, will be emailed out at this time as well.

The elementary held their Cowboy Pride assembly today and recognized individuals for their Responsibility throughout the month of December. We even had some special guests! We celebrated Safety Patrol members, recognized some math fluency efforts and Mrs Aviles' class won the attendance award for December. Happy Holidays Cowboys!
Here is the adjusted semester test schedule for Thursday, December 18th. Due to the late start the test times have been adjusted. We will still have semester tests for 4th, 5th, and 6th periods as previously planned.

8th graders got together this morning to cook up some breakfast and try their hand at chocolate caviar with white chocolate sauce. Such a fun morning we had!
Mr. Kleeman’s class teamed up with Mrs. Simmons’s class to help decorate gingerbread houses today! They thoroughly enjoyed turning their houses into festive works of art!
Yesterday some of our National Honor Society students were able to head down to our local food pantry to help put together baskets for Christmas.
The AAA Killdeer Safety Patrol proudly announce the promotion of their newest advisors. The advisors help train new members and show outstanding qualities of a patroller. Congratulations to Sadi Lapierre, Liam Weeks, Adria Fenstermaker, and Savannah Arndt.
