Killdeer Cowboy Families: As we get into the middle of July, we can turn our heads to looking to August and the start of the fall sport seasons. Below are a few reminders and start dates for activities. I hope all of you are having an outstanding summer, and I will look forward to seeing all of you as fall activities get rolling and school gets started. Nick Walker A.D. Cheer: Monday, Aug 15 HS/JH Volleyball: Monday, Aug 15. JH Football: Monday, Aug 15. 4-6 Girls Basketball: Meeting - Wednesday, Aug 24; Practice - Thursday, Aug, 25. 2-6 KOTR: Tuesday, Sept 6 Other Reminders: • Every kid participating in activities through Killdeer school will need an athletic physical on file before they can practice. • You can register for a sport, upload physical, and pay any activity fees on the link here: Killdeer Public School (ND) (https://killdeer-ar.rschooltoday.com/). • Updated schedules can be found at Killdeer High School (region7nd.org) • Make sure you are trying to get some physical activity in before your season starts. The more you do now the better you will feel when your season starts. • Concussion testing will be scheduled with our athletic trainer and info sent out at a later date. • Any questions please reach out to me. Any 7-12 grade girls interested in playing golf this year first practice is Monday August 1, 2022 @ 6:00-7:30 at the golf course . Physicals, activity fee and concussion/med paperwork have to be filled out online on the Killdeer Public School website BEFORE you can practice! See you there! Coach Candrian

Our preschool students and parents finished out their year with a fun picnic in the Wrestling Room since the park was too cold. We look forward to seeing many of them in Kindergarten this fall!

KPS students have answered over 1 MILLION questions on IXL this year! They have also mastered over 19,000 skills and are proficient in over 24,000 skills! Just another way we are continuing to grow and thrive in Killdeer Public Schools! Way to go, Cowboys!

In addition to Farm Safety, our FFA members also hosted Ag in the Classroom for our Elementary Students. They invited our younger students to visit with live animals and learn how to care for them and interact with them. Here are a couple of pictures from Mrs. Simmons & her kindergartners!

One of the best parts about a small community like Killdeer is seeing families grow up together and share experiences. Here's a picture of Mrs. Pittsley with her two great nieces: Faith Norby (Sr) presented to her sister, Clover Norby's, 6th grade class! Killdeer is family. Killdeer is community!
