The elementary held their Cowboy Pride assembly today and recognized individuals for their Responsibility throughout the month of December. We even had some special guests! We celebrated Safety Patrol members, recognized some math fluency efforts and Mrs Aviles' class won the attendance award for December. Happy Holidays Cowboys!
Here is the adjusted semester test schedule for Thursday, December 18th. Due to the late start the test times have been adjusted. We will still have semester tests for 4th, 5th, and 6th periods as previously planned.

8th graders got together this morning to cook up some breakfast and try their hand at chocolate caviar with white chocolate sauce. Such a fun morning we had!
Mr. Kleeman’s class teamed up with Mrs. Simmons’s class to help decorate gingerbread houses today! They thoroughly enjoyed turning their houses into festive works of art!
Yesterday some of our National Honor Society students were able to head down to our local food pantry to help put together baskets for Christmas.
The AAA Killdeer Safety Patrol proudly announce the promotion of their newest advisors. The advisors help train new members and show outstanding qualities of a patroller. Congratulations to Sadi Lapierre, Liam Weeks, Adria Fenstermaker, and Savannah Arndt.

Public Forum scheduled for December 17th regarding a potential 4-Day School Week
There will be a 4-day school week Open Forum. This session will be live streamed and interactive. The forum will be in the High School Commons beginning at 5:30pm mountain time on Wednesday, December 17.
In accordance to the Killdeer High School Handbook for Final/Semester Tests.
A semester testing schedule will be provided to students and staff which will allow for a maximum of three semester tests to be taken by a student on one testing day. Students will be required to take one final test each semester of the school year.
Below is a list of the required final for each grade level:
• Seniors – Problems of Democracy (S1 and S2) 20
• Juniors – English (S1 and S2)
• Sophomores – Science (S1 and S2)
• Freshman – Math (S1 and S2)
• 8 th Grade – English (S1) and Math (S2)
• 7 th Grade – Social Studies (S1) and Science (S2)
Students cannot be exempt from the required semester tests listed above.
Any student who meets all of the following criteria in a specific class, that is not the required final, shall be exempt from taking the semester test in that class. The criteria is as follows:
• The student carries a B (3.0) or higher in the class
• The student has 2 or fewer unexcused tardies for the semester in the class
• The student has NOT received a detention in the class
• The student has NOT been suspended from school (If suspended, student must take all semester tests)
• The student has NO missing assignments (all assignments, including makeup work, have been completed) in the class.
Any student who wishes to take a semester test that they are exempt from based on the criteria above may do so as an attempt to better their grade in the class. Any student enrolled in an ITV or online course that requires a final/semester test must take that final.
Parents/Guardians of the 7-12 students who would like permission to come and go from the building during Finals Testing Days may do so with a Parent Sign out sheet located at the High School Office.
