Fourth Grade visited the nursing home today and sang Christmas carols with the residents. Spreading holiday cheer!

In honor of Native American Heritage month, the Killdeer High School students had the pleasure of meeting and learning from three very gifted speakers this week. On Tuesday, Mr. Clinton Wolf- Cultural/Spiritual Leader from the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation-spoke to the students about cultural myths and expectations. On Wednesday, Ms. Wind Spirit Spotted Bear- Professional Model, Graphic Designer, Cultural Language Preservation Specialist, Artist- shared origin storytelling, tribal history and her language. On Thursday, Allan Demerary- Native American Flute Player, Cultural Storyteller and Educator- shared his story telling gift with the students while challenging them to work together. All three speakers shared a common message of respecting each other, coming together, understanding one's past to move into the future, being a leader, and demonstrating courage. The Killdeer staff and students would like to thank our speakers for taking the time to share with us and hope we can convince them to come back again!

Kennedy will be working hard helping our younger students stay safe on the playground. She will also be helping to spread holiday cheer. Thank you for being such a positive role model with our younger peers.
