Greetings and welcome to the new school year. Hopefully the summer break was re-energizing and prepared everyone for another exciting experience at the Killdeer Public School.
There is important information about a new state law that parents and students should be aware of. This law was created at last year’s North Dakota legislative session. The State requires all North Dakota Public Schools to adopt the law as district policy. The following link will take you to the Office of the Governor and explain the law and how and why it was created.

The high school and elementary student handbooks will lay out how the school will administer the rule. The handbooks have been updated and are available online on the school website.
Additionally, a new option for parents will be to take an optional protection plan for your students’ electronic device provided by the school. The student will automatically be enrolled in the protection plan when the parent signs the Device Use Agreement. If the parent elects to decline the annual protection plan, select Decline before signing the agreement.
A bonus! Any student attending Killdeer public school will receive a free haircut from our hometown barber located at 250 Central Ave S, in Killdeer. Proudly sponsored by Dunn Burger, Western Choice and 1st International. Haircuts start at 10:00am on Monday the 18th and will include free hamburgers, ice cream and a drink.
